One night in New York City Muddy Water's harmonica player James Cotton jumped up on stage and jammed with Matthew Patrick for longer than he played with his own band. When they were done he told him, "You play it like we used to." High praise indeed.
One of Matt's acoustic blues gigs in Soho was thoroughly enjoyed by none other than slide monster, Derek Trucks. Trucks jammed with the band and hung out with the guys until closing time.
